'Left 4 Dead 3' release ever happening? Game dropped by Valve and Turtle Rock?

Survival horror fans have a special spot in their hearts for the "Left 4 Dead" series, but it's been nine years since "Left 4 Dead 2" was released. Thus, gamers think that it is high time for the series to be refreshed.

Rumor has it that Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios are working to refresh the one-of-a-kind first-person shooter video game, and fans are expecting that what is dubbed as "Left 4 Dead 3" would be released in the near future. Unfortunately, the title has yet to be made official. It is unknown if the collaborators are working on it or even thinking about making it.

It is rumored that Turtle Rock Studios will work on "Left 4 Dead 3" but they won't go to the drawing board until its current projects such as "Evolve" are completed and deemed fulfilled. Other rumors claim that the game was in development three years ago.

However, the studio's co founder, Phil Robb, has revealed months back that they won't be working on "Left 4 Dead" anymore. This is because collaborating with another studio that's miles away from them simply strains the game's development.

This opens the possibility that "Left 4 Dead 3" will be developed by Valve alone. Besides, the IP for the game is with them. It is still unknown whether they will shove it in the shelf to gather cobwebs or make use of it to make a new one.

Apart from the thrill in seeing a new iteration of the mega successful survival horror game, gamers believe that the developers should at least give the franchise a chance to make a jump to current-generation consoles.

For now, neither Valve nor Turtle Rock has dropped a word about "Left 4 Dead 3." The game, at the moment, remains as nothing more than a myth.
