Lebron James free agency rumors: Speculations on James' next possible move

Just two months have passed since the beginning of the latest National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season, and team general managers, coaches, and staff have already seen enough of how their respective teams have played to know what they are lacking in their game. This means that trades will be occurring just before the trade deadline, and as of now, the best player in the world, Lebron James, is the target of free agency rumors.

According to reports, there has been a lot of anxious anticipation regarding King James' status ahead of the July 2018 trade deadline. Given that James made very big moves the past two times that he had become a free agent, sports analysts are already making speculations on what would be the best options for James in the near future.

It is safe to assume that a team with enough firepower to make a run for a championship would be the top priority for James. However, James has also been very secretive about decisions such as these, but it is certain that if James decides to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers, he will be going to a high-profile team that has not only Championship potential but should be willing to pay very well -- especially given his stellar performance in the season thus far.

According to Blasting News, the biggest problem that the Cavaliers have in their game currently is their defense. Although it is definitely notable that the Cavaliers have been making a winning run recently, their defense still has a lot left to be desired. Perhaps, acquiring San Antonio Spurs Danny Green would help the current Cavalier roster given his ability to shoot three-pointers as well as frenetic defensive capabilities.

It is no secret that whatever team James ends up in tries its best to build a team around him to keep him happy. This does not mean that the Cavaliers have no contingency if James decides to take his talents elsewhere once again. According to Sporting News, the team has decided to bank on their trade pick that they have acquired from the New Jersey Nets to get some fresh new talent in order to rebuild the franchise.
