LA Clippers NBA 2015 trade news, rumors: If DeAndre Jordan departs, it could be because of Chris Paul

The Clippers just wrapped up another disappointing season and now the focus will be on the free agents of the team.

The guy that many will be closely monitoring up to July is DeAndre Jordan, someone who will become an unrestricted free agent and expected to be pursued by multiple teams. The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly planning an aggressive pursuit though the Clippers are expected to exhaust all means to keep him.

Jordan seems to be content with the Clippers, having blossomed into a great defender and inside presence for coach Doc Rivers and company. He has shown vast improvement except for his free throws which as many know led to multiple Hack-a-Jordan tactics. The last of the unpopular tactic was used by Houston Rockets coach Kevin McHale in the playoff meeting.

Speaking of free throws, it seems that someone feels that Jordan is not placing effort on improving it. That person is Chris Paul who has been known to try and get into his teammates nerves which is attributed to his care for their improvement which could eventually translate into winning.

Though it wasn't serious, some believe that Paul's 'edginess' could be a reason for Jordan to leave the Clippers. Both have not shown it during games, playing splendidly on official games. Hence, if there is tension brewing between Paul and Jordan, it certainly isn't showing.

Per reports, Paul seems to be disappointed with the fact that Jordan hasn't been religiously spending time with shooting coaches to improve his free throw shooting. However it doesn't seem to be an issue that would escalate and lead to Jordan leaving because of it.

Dousing water as well on that is the fact that Jordan seems to be content in Los Angeles though it remains to be seen if more money and security placed on the table would change all that.

If that should be the case, the Clippers may want to consider securing Jordan by giving him what is due. While he does have plenty of room for improvement, it is pretty clear that he has become a vital cog inside the Clippers organization.
