'Kingdom Hearts 3' news: 'Toy Story' to be featured?

Details about the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" are as elusive as a trailer. Just recently, developer Square Enix shot down the rumor about the game studio giving fans a sneak peek of the highly anticipated trailer. Thankfully, a new screenshot from the game has been shown.

The image sees game protagonist Sora together with Goofy and Donald on board a weaponized vehicle, which fans of "Toy's Story" will easily recognize. Fans believe that the trio are riding Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters like the one in Disneyland.

This led media outlets to believe that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will integrate the world of the vivacious toys and action figures. The "Toy Story" realm also matches the atmosphere and vibe that Square Enix is aiming for with the much-awaited action role-playing game.

As for other Disney worlds to be featured in the title, it is being said that Baymax and Hiro's hometown San Fransokyo as featured in the blockbuster hit "Big Hero 6" will be one of the game's many colorful and vibrant locations so does the fairy-tale land of Rapunzel in "Tangled."

Meanwhile, game director Tetsuya Nomura stated during the Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater event that they are integrating a lot of worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3" but fans have to wait before they get a glimpse of them.

"During development, we proceed by working on each world, and we're moving into worlds that we cannot, at this moment, show you," Nomura was quoted by KH13. While he shied away from showing off "new worlds," Nomura brought "in-production footage that we normally do not make public."

The footage showed a glimpse of Nobody and an in-game location Olympus. That was all the game director had to offer as far as "Kingdom Hearts 3" is concerned. At the moment, it is unclear when new details about the game will drop.
