Katie Holmes, Robin Thicke dating? Actress has 'no plans'

To set the dating records straight, Katie Holmes is not dating Robin Thicke.

MSN initially reported that "The Giver" actress was planning to arrange a date with the "Blurred Lines" singer via email after he wraps up his tour in New York later this month.

But a source close to the former "Dawson's Creek" star is quick to dismiss the rumors, saying that Holmes never sent an email to Thicke, and that she has no intentions of dating the controversial singer. The source also said that the actress was confused about how the gossip started in the first place.

The actress and the Canadian singer allegedly met on the set of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" in 2010, where both their exes worked for the film. The actress was then married to Tom Cruise while Thicke was still with his wife, Paula Patton.

Holmes and Cruise parted ways back in 2012 after being together for five years. They were blessed with a daughter named Suri, who is now eight-years-old.

On the other hand, Thicke and Patton were in a relationship for 21 years and married for nine years before filing for divorce early this year. Apparently, the singer cheated on his wife and was constantly high on Vicodin and vodka during their relationship, causing her to leave him in February 2014. The former couple has a son named Julian Fuego.

Aside from Thicke, Holmes was also recently involved with another dating rumor with "How I Met Your Mother" star Jason Segel. The two apparently met on the set of the now-defunct hit TV show. However, Holmes' rep Leslie Sloane had already denied the rumors, and said that the actress is busy focusing on her work and her daughter to give dating a second thought.

Presently, Holmes' hands are tied between "The Given" premiere with Meryl Streep, her directorial debut for the film adaptation of Annie Weatherwax's novel "All We Had," as well as the upcoming movie titled "Miss Meadows."
