Justin Bieber says he is turning his life around, vows to stop smoking marijuana

Justin Bieber has stopped smoking marijuana, according to the Inquisitr website – a move that may be linked to the influence on him of Christian pastors whose advice he has been taking recently.

The singer, whose on-off romance with Selena Gomez has made headlines along with his occasional brushes with the law and bad-boy antics, posted an entry on the Fahlo social networking site captioned "Who is up early? What are you doing today?"

Replies from fans poured in, including one user's question "What are u doin [?]," to which another fan quipped, "smoke weed".

Bieber then posted, "I'm off that. Making a change in my life."

It was reported earlier this year that the pilots of a private plane taking him and his entourage to a Super Bowl game were forced to wear oxygen masks because they feared inhaling some of the marijuana fumes produced during the flight. The plane was searched when it landed in New Jersey but nothing was found, leading to speculation that the party had smoked it all.

In the past, Bieber has also been accused of drunk-driving, resisting arrest, vandalism and assault.

However, he has been attending Hillsong NYC church, pastored by Carl Lentz, who has described him as being "on a journey" and has "re-baptised" him – reportedly in a bathtub after the singer requested a private ceremony – after a period of intensive Bible study.
