Pop superstars Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may have spent the Thanksgiving holidays apart, but that does not mean the two are going through a rough patch, quite the opposite.
An insider close to Gomez told HollywoodLife.com that the 25-year-old singer-actress is "just so crazy in love with Justin."
With the two's crazy past, getting back together and breaking up again several times, many have been doubtful that they could ever work out. But it looks like Gomez's renewed energy is changing all that.
"As much as people around her are worried that she'll end up heartbroken all over again, it's hard not to be happy for her," the source said.
For his part, a source close to Bieber shared to Celebrity Insider that he has grown so much and has undergone a complete metamorphosis since they last dated. "He is determined to show Selena, her friends, and family that he is not that guy now," shared insiders.
After last breaking up in 2014, both of them tried to move on with their lives and love lives. The 23-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter was linked to models Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Richie. Gomez also briefly dated German-Russian music producer Zedd in 2015, before starting a relatively longer relationship with The Weeknd in January 2017.
During their time apart, the former couple released several songs rumored to have been dedicated to each other — including "The Heart Wants What It Wants" for Gomez and a number of hits from Bieber's fourth studio album "Purpose." They have also been involved in several clashes, particularly an Instagram war that broke out after Bieber posted several photos of him with Richie back in August 2016.
But in late October of this year, the former lovers reportedly started making peace, after Gomez secretly underwent a kidney surgery. Back then, they clarified that they were just friends. But before long, Gomez and The Weeknd announced they have broken up, as the popstar starts publicly hanging out with Bieber again.
"She tried her best to put things with him behind her and for a long time it seemed like she had. But it's obvious now that she was carrying a heavy weight around with her this whole time," the Gomez insider shared. "Now that she's back with Justin that weight has lifted, she just seems very light and joyful."
