Finally, the official trailer for "Jurassic World" has been released for the world to see. The trailer, two minutes and 40 seconds long, is a great teaser for the movie and it shows a tiny bit of what people can expect from the film — which may just be the best among all four installments in the franchise.
The trailer highlights a few things. First, it pays homage to John Williams' original theme back in 1993. The piano rendition heard in the trailer was based on that theme, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The publication also points out that the theme park gives a nod to Sea World. There is a scene where a Great White Shark is seen dangling in the middle of an arena, when suddenly, a huge aquatic dinosaur jumps out of the water and eats it. The arena is full of people anxiously waiting to see the spectacle.
The park looks majestic and undeniably beautiful. The guests and tourists can drive in the fields alongside the dinosaurs. They can kayak, too. The shot with the gyrosphere is amazing.
But shortly after showing the awesome activities in the park, the trailer switches to serious mode and slowly introduces the new cloned dinosaur that later wreaks havoc on the island.
Chris Pratt plays Owen and his character trains the dinosaurs. He works alongside Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire, the scientist who clones the dinosaurs. Claire introduces a new hybrid creature that was genetically modified and it is none other than the Diabolus Rex or D-Rex. Rolling Stone describes the dinosaur "as smart as it is bloodthirsty."
The problem starts when the D-Rex escapes from captivity and starts to threaten every living creature it comes across. Now, it is up to Owen to stop the D-Rex and save the lives of the tourists in the park. While the trailer doesn't show the D-Rex completely, fans get to catch a glimpse at his huge claws while chasing Owen.
This is just the first trailer for the movie. And since it won't be released for another six months, moviegoers can expect a couple of trailers more before "Jurassic World" hits theaters on June 12, 2015.
