Jesus is the same in every season, even a pandemic, says Matt Redman

Matt Redman is encouraging people to "sing unchanging truth" as coronavirus continues to spread around the world.

Speaking to The Christian Post, the "10,000 Reasons" singer said he's holding onto the lyrics of his latest single release, "The Same Jesus", in this time of pandemic.

The single is the latest track to release from his 14th album, Let There Be Wonder, which came out in January.

"In a moment when there's so much uncertainty and anxiety swirling all around us, it's so important to sing unchanging truth," he said.

"When we worship Jesus, we encounter the One who is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. He is the ultimate unchanging truth — the same Jesus through every season, every problem, and indeed, every pandemic."

The lyrics of "The Same Jesus" remind the church that the Lord is "still keeping all His promises" and "commanding the wind and the waves".

The video for the single was recorded live at the Heart of God Church in Singapore before it suspended public worship due to the spread of COVID-19.
