Jesus can turn your failures into miracles

Have you ever struggled with your sense of purpose because you feel that your past failures have disqualified you from God's calling? If you have, then be assured that Jesus can and will use you despite your failures.

Moreover, He can even turn your failures into miracles.

Psalm 30:11 says, "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness."

If there was anyone who knew failure, it was the man who wrote these words—King David of Israel. We often think of King David as being a successful ruler, which he was. But at many times in his life he also had his share of failures.

Do you struggle with overcoming the setbacks of your life? Maybe you've had a business failed, a relationship broken, a project gone wrong or a sin that you were rebuked or disciplined for. Whatever failure you have experienced, you should know that even great men and women who were used by God also had failures of their own, but God still used them.

If there's one thing we need to understand about failure, it's that each and every one of us have experienced it. Romans 3:23 tells us, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

But despite our failures, God remains faithful. He continues to work in the midst of our failures. In our weakness, Jesus is most glorified.

Proverbs 24:16 tells us, "For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity."

When we fall, we can and will rise again, but we must be reminded that we can only overcome failure through God's grace. Jesus brings forth resilience, perseverance and a passion that keeps us going.

That's not to say that we don't have a role to play. God calls us to persevere and to step out in faith and courage, and when He calls us to do so, He equips us and empowers us with the power to fulfil His purposes in our life.

Are you convinced that that job offer, that business venture, that relationship or that ministry opportunity is really God's will? Is past failure holding you back from pursuing it?

Lay your life at the cross of Jesus and rely on Him for the strength and ability to conquer your past failures. When we are most weak, Jesus is strong. Although we sometimes fail, God will not fail us.
