Jeremy Lin news: Trade to Indiana Pacers on?

Jeremy Lin has yet to find a new home though all that should fall into place by July.

Lin is not expected to return to the Lakers and though there were rumors he could be landing in Denver, all that seems to have fallen apart after the Nuggets opted to go with Michael Malone as their head coach instead of Mike D'Antoni.

Had Mike D'Antoni been selected, Lin could have been a solid choice to make the team especially with trade talks involving Ty Lawson up in the air.

Lin has been linked to his former team as well, the Houston Rockets, though nothing has come close from seeing it happen.

How about the Indiana Pacers?

For less pay, Lin could be considered and join the team's bench. With the Pacers likely to release C.J. Watson, there could be an opening for the Harvard University standout in coach Frank Vogel's rotation.

It would also mean that starting point guard George Hill could have someone to spell him as well, something Watson apparently failed to provide due to injuries and on-court struggles.

But can Lin adapt to the Pacers' brand of play?

This seems to be the question up in the air with Lin failing to blend in with coach Byron Scott's philosophy. Lin received criticism as well from Kobe Bryant and such are seen as main reasons why the Asian-American is likely headed to an exit.

For Lin, he doesn't have any preference on which team to play for as long as he can join a ballclub that could use his talent. He will need to take a drastic paycheck though if he intends to continue playing in the league.

If he agrees, his price could very well be in the range of the Pacers so expect president Larry Bird to consider adding Lin in favor of Watson. It isn't a certainty for now but does add more possible stops for 'Linsanity'.
