Jeremy Lin is expected to be available this coming July when NBA Free Agency starts and at least seven teams are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the Asian-American standout from Harvard.
After a forgettable stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, Lin is gaining interest from teams such as the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and the Indiana Pacers.
Lin will potentially be playing backup to the starting point guards of the said teams, though a perfect fit would not surprisingly see Linsanity suddenly inheriting the starting point guard chores.
Ever since he left the New York Knicks, Lin has struggled with the teams he has signed up with. He hardly made an impact on the Rockets in the same manner he did for the Knicks while he was simply a misfit with the Lakers under coach Byron Scott's system.
His salary has also become a stumbling block for most teams, a hindrance that has held back teams from pulling a trade but heading into next season, Lin may have to lower his salary expectations to continue playing in the league.
Lin's pick-and-roll is one facet that makes him an interesting add, something the mentioned teams will most likely seriously consider.
Of the seven, the past months have seen swirling rumors of Lin headed back to the Houston Rockets though the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets entered the fray.
Notable among the teams mentioned is the fact that they will need a backup point guard who can be called upon to spell their starters. Except perhaps for Houston who is in dire need of a court general, all other teams are focused on recruiting the best available point guard for a reasonable price.
With seven teams after him, where could Lin possibly be headed?
