iPhone 7: New concept image boasts sapphire screen display and powerful specs

While some companies are preoccupied with their preparation for the upcoming Mobile World Congress in March, Apple is, one can assume, working quietly on its next smartphone – the iPhone 7. No one knows for sure what the smartphone would offer, but creative gadget enthusiasts try to imagine what the yet unannounced device would look like.

The latest iPhone 7 render was imagined by concept designer Dani Yako. She thinks that the upcoming iPhone will come with a 5.4-inch display with a 2880 x 1880 pixel resolution. The screen is reinforced with sapphire covering material and it also has narrow bezels.

The smartphone is also visualized to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor with a thickness of 6.5 mm and weight of 110 grams. Its overall profile is very slim, although inside, the imagined iPhone 7 has an octa-core A9 processor with 64-bit architecture clocked at 2.5 GHz and 4 GB of RAM. It supposedly runs with the next generation iOS 9.

For its cameras, Yako incorporated the design with a 16-megapixel back shooter, which is a big jump from the current camera. It also comes with BSI, autofocus, laser focus, digital image stabilization, HDR and voice activation. The designer also deems that the next iPhone should have an upgrade as far as the selfie shooter is concerned and placed an 8-megapixel cam in front.

Other people have their own ideas about the future iPhone, too. There are rumors that Apple will release two models this year: the iPhone 6S in spring and the iPhone 7 in fall. This is backed up by the claims of Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri who stated that Apple is indeed working on an average iPhone 6S with a 4-inch screen display to be released in spring alongside Apple's first wearable device, the Apple Watch. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 said to be released this fall will have high-end specs and features such as sapphire screen display, A9 processor, iOS 9, better camera, battery, and fingerprint sensor.

Apple has not confirmed the rumored features yet but is expected to reveal information at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June or later this year.
