
Tech giant Apple just announced its entry in the phablet category, iPhone 6 Plus, at its launching event yesterday.
The company surprised many Apple fans when it made a big jump in terms of screen size. The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a huge 5.5 inches screen display, up from the 4-inch screen size of iPhone 5. Below is the comparison between the new iPhone 6 Plus and another new model, Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Screen Display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch screen panel with Quad HD Super AMOLED display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution). The iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, comes with 5.5-inch screen with Full HD display (1080 x 1920 pixels resolution).
Processor
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in two variants packing different processors – one is powered by quad-core 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, while the other variant includes a 64-bit enabled octa-core Exynos 5433 chipset with quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex A57 and quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A53 CPUs. iPhone 6 Plus is powered by A8 processor with 64-bit architecture. The processor is reinforced with M8 graphics processor.
Internal Storage
The fourth generation of Samsung Galaxy Note packs a 32GB of internal storage and comes with a micro SD slot for up to 64GB of additional storage. The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a huge 128GB internal storage.
Operating System
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs with the latest 4.4.4 version of the Kitkat OS. Apple's phablet runs with the new iOS 8.
Camera
The Samsung phablet includes a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 8x digital zoom, as well as a 3.7 MP front-facing camera. Meanwhile, iPhone 6 Plus retains its old shooter of 8 MP with Dual LED flash paired with 2.1 MP front-facing camera with Full HD video capture.
Battery
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 3,220mAh battery, while the iPhone 6 Plus is supported by 2,915 mAh battery capacity.
