Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet delivers a stiff competition to iPad Air 2. Sony

Japanese company Sony did not introduce any smartphone product at this year's Mobile World Congress, but it compensated by releasing a powerful slate, the Xperia Z4 Tablet. The device has a 10-inch quad HD screen display and a Snapdragon 810 chipset. It is also equipped with the company's signature features – dustproof and water-resistant.

Since Sony's newest tablet boasts some top-of-the-line specs and features, it could offer some tough competition against the dominant tablet in the market, Apple's iPad. Below is the comparison between the iPad Air 2 and the Xperia Z4 Tablet.

The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is slimmer than its predecessor and looks premium with its metal frames, while the latest iPad Air 2 highly resembles the earlier model with its aluminum casing that is iconic to loyal Apple users.

The iPad Air 2 sports a 9.7-inch screen with 4:3 aspect ratio apt for business and educational tasks. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has a 10-inch screen panel with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution that is great for viewing videos and images.

Operating system

The new iOS 8 is pre-installed in the iPad Air 2, while the Xperia Z4 Tablet runs with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
