Creator of the fighting game "Injustice 2," Ed Boon, has hinted that porting the game to the Nintendo Switch is not impossible at all. Despite having their own exclusive fighting games, it seems that the Nintendo Switch is experiencing a trend when it comes to porting a variety of video games that the platform has never had before such as "NBA 2K18" and Bethesda's "Skyrim." A fighting game of this magnitude will certainly excite Nintendo Switch owners.

Gamespot was able to conduct an interview with Boon himself at the Brazil Game Show, and they discussed the likelihood of "Injustice 2" gracing the Nintendo Switch platform. In fact, Boon believed that just about any game can be made compatible across different platforms but has noted that "there are inevitable compromises."

This could potentially mean that Boon has already looked at the system requirement compatibility of the game and the Switch, and some aspects of the game may suffer from shortcomings compared to the other platforms that the game currently runs on. However, Boon is not at all opposed to the idea of making the port.

In a report by Game Zone, it is stated that the team behind "Injustice 2" is ready to make the necessary changes in order for the game to run as smoothly as possible on the Nintendo Switch without cutting too much of the content to make it happen. This has already been made possible for games such as "Fifa 2018," and while the developers had to lower the resolution and the graphics to fit system requirements, the game still looked decent.

Perhaps, with the past games experiencing positive reviews upon being ported to the Nintendo Switch, more publishers are looking to extend their market. According to My Nintendo News, the social nature of the Nintendo Switch could actually be an incentive for NetherRealm to finalize the port. Boon stated "You could have tournaments, everyone comes over with their own system," which is one of the Switch's strongest assets.

There is still no confirmation on whether "Injustice 2" will make it to the Nintendo Switch, but it sure seems that Boon and his team at NetherRealm are highly considering the move.
