Indianapolis Colts vs New England Patriots preview

With stakes higher, the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts get it on once more with the winner advancing to the Super Bowl. The two teams meet for the 20th time this Sunday at the Gillette Stadium, with the Patriots favored to triumph over the Colts. New England is a 6.5 favorite over Indianapolis.

The Patriots are the top seed and have dominated the Colts thus far. However it will be interesting to see how Andrew Luck can hold up against the Patriots, who are looking to make history by winning their 8th Super Bowl appearance.

Bill Belichik is expected to provide Luck with a lot of problems, knowing that the young player has had his issues of quarterbacking smoothly for the Colts.

Though it may seem that this could be an advantage for the Patriots, Belichik remains reserved and believes that Luck will still be a problem come Sunday.

"He's got a lot of strengths, no weaknesses. He's got a great future in front of him. He's already done a lot in the time that he's been in the league, and I'm sure by the time he gets done he can pass a lot of guys by" says Belichik in an interview with ESPNBoston.com

While the defensive end of the Patriots is to be expected, a keen eye on what they intend to do on the offensive. And on that note, don't be surprised at the running attack that the Patriots will be showing off as it tangles with the defensive stance that the Colts are expected to put up.

For the Colts, it would depend on how proper Luck can take care of the ball. Though his past does leave a mark, this could be the best time ever to correct all that, a grand event where the Colts need him the most.

The Patriots and the Colts tangle at the Gillette Stadium this Sunday at 6:40 p.m. ET. The game will be telecast over CBS. You can also catch it online here.
