Rumor mills have, on numerous occasions, chosen actor Chris Pratt to be the face of major franchise reboots. Ever since he snagged the top billing on the Marvel blockbuster "Guardians of the Galaxy" and went on to headline the "Jurassic Park" reboot "Jurassic World," his name has been linked to many upcoming films. One of those rumors is Pratt being the next Indiana Jones.

There have been speculations that Disney would refresh the franchise and continue the story of the silver's screen's most loved buccaneer archaeologist and, as it turns out, the company does have plans of doing so.

In an interview with GQ, Pratt revealed that Disney thought of revivifying the classic Harrison Ford-headlined franchise with him. However, what got in the way were his projects (a lot of them) all lined up that he couldn't squeeze another one in, let alone one as big as "Indiana Jones 5."

"I'm tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is, you know, two more Guardians plus another couple," the actor told the publication, which wrote that the actor has two "Guardians" sequels to go and that he will show up in other Marvel films as Star Lord as well.

And while Steven Spielberg has already expressed interest in directing "Indiana Jones 5" should it ever be greenlit, the most recent time the director hung out with Pratt, the actor clarified, was all for "Jurassic World" and that alone. Spielberg directed the original movies from the franchise.

"I just didn't bring it up and he didn't bring it up, so I don't know," the "Parks and Recreation" star admitted.

The lengthy GQ interview also touched on several more rumors about Pratt's assumed involvement in the "Ghostbusters" reboot with Channing Tatum. He said that although he has seen Tatum, "no one has ever even spoken to me about that," adding "never" to show his conviction on debunking the rumors, even those that involve him in "Knight Rider."
