In the Name of Jesus Christ, Walk!

Acts 3: 1- 10

After the advent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost - which is 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is the time when the early church began...with the fullness of the Holy Spirit, the apostles of Christ were able to perform amazing miracles.

|PIC1|In this story, the man crippled from birth was able to stand up and walk again. How could this happen? This is not the story of this one single man, but the story of each single one of us.

Before we came to know Christ in our life, we were confined by our past lives and had no desire for God or His Kingdom. We always had a strong enthusiasm for a change, but we had no power to move even one step towards this goal.

In the search for His love, we faced many sins and insufficiencies we couldn't overcome...

How can this kind of life come to a new turning point? It's when we can hear the name of Jesus Christ. We are born of His love and we live to respond to His love. We are able to stand up, walk and jump once again through the encouragement of His love.

This change does not just occur as part of our life, but it is a complete transformation. It is a fundamental change. We stand up by realising the truth in Christ.

When Jesus called his disciples, he said, "Come and see, FOLLOW me.". Here at the scene where Apostle Peter and John meet the crippled man, they ordered him with authority, "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, WALK!" It seems finally, the disciples are truly following Christ.

This is such a beautiful story of change. This crippled man was finally healed from his disease. The disciples were finally realising the power and authority of their words.

"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen, and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour." - Habakkuk 3:17-18

Let us too, also rejoice, in realising the deep love of Jesus.
