Huawei Nexus release news update: Could be Google's ticket back into China

For some time now, it has been in the rumor mill that Google will be releasing two Nexus phones by perhaps the either October or November.

LG Electronics has been confirmed to be one of the companies working on one of the versions with Huawei as the other. As far as the LG Nexus 5 version version is concerned, you can read about that in a previous post here.

Huawei will reportedly be in charge of designing the other one, something they call as the Huawei Nexus 5.

Among the expected features of the Huawei Nexus 5 include that of a 5.7-inch OLED display, a Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3,500 mAh battery. Like the LG Nexus 5, the Huawei version is expected to come out with Android M on board.

With that said, Google and Huawei are said to be in talks to launch the Huawei Nexus 5 over in China though that seems to come with lots of things tied up to it.

That includes potentially bringing a version of the Google Play Store to China, an entry point that could allow the search engine giant entry into the vastly populated region.

Aside from that, such could open the doors for Huawei to gain some headway in marketing its touted Huawei Watch in the Western countries that could go as far as helping the Androir Wear functioning with the iPhone.

All this remains speculations of course, though it never hurts to look ahead. There is no guarantee that Google can gain re-entry in China for now but anything is possible.

In any case, either of the LG or Nexus Nexus 5 variants are expected to be revealed only after the Android M has made its way into the market. So heading into the next couple of months, if the said Android OS comes out, expect the new Nexus 5 variants to follow.
