For a while now, users have been hearing about a high-end new offering out of Huawei – the Huawei Mate 8. There has been a bounty of rumors and reports about the specs and features of the device and now, the tech world is close to seeing the handset in the flesh.

The China-based company recently sent out invites to the press about a launch event on Nov. 26. The invite directly states that the Huawei Mate 8 will be the star of the show, which completely throws light on the rumor that the device will be out on Nov. 5.

Rumor mills make out the Huawei Mate 8 as a richly specced, imposing sizable 6-inch smartphone. Driving it will apparently be the all-new and more powerful Kirin 950 processor. There is 3 GB and 4 GB RAM to boot and two hefty respective storage options – 32 GB and 64 GB.

The handset is said to boast a massive 21-MP camera right on its back. The selfie snapper is expected to be either a 5-MP shooter or an 8-MP unit. It is being said that the flagship will have its own version of the 3D Touch feature like the one on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

Keeping the lights on is a bulky 4,100mAh, which should guarantee extended hours of usage to users. With the Huawei Mate 8 sounding like the next mobile companion to pick up, users await pricing details, which rumor mills thankfully provided.

As it turns out, the top-tier smartphone has a hefty price tag tied up. The version with the 3-GB RAM and 32-GB storage space will allegedly cost buyers $520 while the 4-GB RAM and 64-GB storage combo goes up to $610.

As Phone Arena points out, the pricing could very well break the bank but the site assures that the Huawei Mate 8 will give buyers a bang for their buck.
