HTC One X9 news: Rumored device leaked, powerful specs unveiled

HTC seems to be working on a new formidable smartphone. Details about a so-called HTC One X9 have been leaked via Weibo and they all point to the coming of a handsomely specced smartphone out of the Taiwanese manufacturer.

First is a flyer, which teases that the new HTC device is "packed with city smarts." It is unclear what the tagline really pertains to, although the inclusion of front-facing BoomSound speakers has been mentioned, as well as a metal body and stellar camera combos.

According to the leaked specs sheet, the HTC One X9 really does feature an eye-popping set of shooters – a hefty 23-MP camera on the rear and a 4-MP UltraPixel selfie snapper on the front. This specification is just one of the elements that make the device potent.

The device will allegedly come in a 5-inch Quad HD display, which is said to be complemented with the powerful, much-talked-about Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or the equally impressive Mediatek Helio X20 chipset – both more than capable to support a screen of such quality.

If it goes with the Qualcomm unit, which will allegedly be launched in a matter of days according to Phone Radar, fans of HTC can expect the redoubtable phone to be out and about by January 2016 at the earliest.

On with the specs, the device purportedly offers a couple of RAM configurations – 3 GB RAM goes with a variant with 32 GB of space while the HTC One X9 models with room as big as 64 GB and 128 GB will be supplemented with 4 GB worth of RAM. A 3,500-mAh battery will be packaged in it for users to enjoy all that awesomeness.

At the moment, HTC is yet to confirm the existence of such top-tier handset, although the Taiwan-based company has been in the news in the past few days for the release of the HTC One A9 and the possible launch of a variant dubbed as the HTC One A9w.
