HTC One M9 comes with Windows 10 OS in new concept image

A new HTC One M9 concept image surfaced online, and this one was designed with the upcoming Windows 10 OS in mind. The latest render was created by concept designer Jonas Daehnert who also goes by the name Phone Designer

As for the physical aspect of the device, the concept smartphone features a design that resembles the HTC One M8's but with a thinner profile, which is a usual feature in most current smartphones. The front camera is also bigger and the screen bezels are narrower. It also sports a pill-shaped button. However, what is under the hood is not disclosed by the designer. In terms of physical appearance, it is a good concept design for HTC's new flagship phone.

This is not the first time that the idea of a Windows-based HTC One M9 surfaced online. HTC tipster @upleaks tipped that an M9 loaded with the upcoming Windows OS, dubbed as HTC HimaW, would be released solely in the U.S. And since the official version of Windows 10 is rumored to be released in fall, there is a huge possibility that a Windows-based device will arrive around the same time, although no specific release date has been announced yet.

Microsoft's new Windows 10 is being designed to run on both desktops and mobile devices, allowing users to run apps and some features on both platforms. The OS can support the Snapdragon 810 processor that is rumored to power the new HTC One M9.

The Windows-based smartphone is expected to pack the same features as its Android-based version, including a 5- to 5.5-inch screen display with quad HD resolution, 3 GB of RAM, HTC Sense 7 UI, 20.7-megapixel camera and 13-megapixel or an Ultrapixel front-facing camera.

The HTC One M9 is expected to be unveiled next week, a day ahead of the Mobile World Congress during the company's press event.
