HTC One A9 news: benchmark test leaks handset before Oct. 20 launch

Users can expect some last minute leaks involving HTC One A9, which is believed to be unveiled on Oct. 20. Oftentimes, the sightings that pop up days prior to a product's outing are often the most revealing and it is definitely true for the smartphone, which shows up in a carrier website.

The device that also goes by the name Aero dropped by France-based telecom company Orange, where it showed its specs sheet. There, it was revealed it will come with a 5-inch full HD display and a design that resembles that of an iPhone 6, corresponding with earlier rumors.

A fingerprint sensor is reportedly embedded on the home button and a microSD card slot was also spotted. Overall, the edges and the design language borrow those of the Cupertino's bestseller smartphone offerings.

Other features exposed include the imaging department, which will apparently be composed of a 13-MP shooter on the back and a nice 4-MP UltraPixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. As already established, HTC One A9 will be the first from HTC with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.

Just recently, the smartphone stopped by GFXBench for a benchmark test. Adding to the confusion of what processor it will really house (some say it will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, others say MediaTek Helio X20), it showed up with a Snapdragon 610 under its hood.

With reports at variance about what the HTC One A9 will pack, it is a great thing that users are only days away from learning what really drives the new phone from the Taiwan-based tech firm, which teases the event with a tagline "Meet the Marshmallow from HTC."

Other specs sheet includes a 2-GB RAM and 16 GB worth of expandable storage space. A 2150-mAh battery will allegedly give the Aero advice the energy it needs.
