By the end of the first season of "How to Get Away with Murder," fans were left with more mysteries than explanations, and it would be a mistake not to expect season 2 for answers. The show's second run is guaranteed and more thrillers are bound to come fans' way.

In figuring out the next question the new season will deal with, media outlets come up with different deductions. For one, iDigital Times believes that the mystery of Rebecca Sutter's death will be the major source of perplexity in the new season. Ecumenical News says it will focus on Lila's murder.

Series creator Pete Nowalk promised in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Lila's death will "for sure" be given light in season 2.

"That is a very big favor, and we would be mistaken not to answer that question for the audience," he said.

Although it was discovered that Sam, Annalise's husband and Lila's lover, is the person behind the murder, it remains to be seen why Frank chose to do the dirty work for him. Fortunately, fans won't have to wait that long before the puzzle pieces are all unearthed.

As for Rebecca's slaughter, iDigital Times takes comfort in Nowalk's statements regarding the show having no rules.

"We can flash back. We can flash forward. We can just tell a story linearly. I want to keep it fresh," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

This led the site to believe that the answers will be shown in the form of flashbacks. This, of course, remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Nowalk also said that there will be new characters to shake things up.

"We'll meet a new character that figures prominently into Annalise's life," Nowalk revealed to THR. "We've met Annalise's sister-in-law and mother so perhaps a sibling will be in the picture."

Fans can also expect more of Oliver and Connor as Nowalk said during the Television Academy panel in Los Angeles that they "are very important to me and they have a huge fan base."

Season 2 of "How to Get Away With Murder" will premiere this September.
