'Homeland' season 5 episode 8: Carrie turns to the wrong person for help in 'All About Allison'

Carrie steps into the lion's den in the next episode of "Homeland" season 5. Titled "All About Allison," the next installment of the action-packed series will see a frantic and desperate Carrie request help from the very person behind the threats against her life.

Allison is running against the clock in taking out Carrie because if she doesn't, her supposed target could get to her first, enabling her to reveal to the world how sick a conniving human being she really is. But if there's one person unflustered about it all, it's the Russian himself.

Ivan seems confident that Carrie will meet her demise soon. He trusts that Allison aka "the greatest mole in the United States' history" will get the job done. The promo for the "Homeland" season 5 episode shows that Ivan may be right with Carrie already at the other end of a gun.

Carrie still has no idea that Allison isn't what she thinks she is, although she is very close to finding out the truth. This is why Allison is not in the least bit at ease that the mission will go the way they planned it too.

But to her delight, with Carrie asking to meet up to personally solicit her help, Allison takes this as an opportunity to eliminate the potential whistleblower.

Also in this thrilling "Homeland" season 5 episode, Quinn will be back in business as an impeccable hired gun. After impressing Bibi during his mission to safely escort the jihadist's men to the borders of Syria, Bibi decides to enlist the guy's services once more.

However, he will need a lot of convincing power as Quinn seems uninterested. But it looks like Bibi's connection to deputy emir of Syria will win the guy over, so before he even realizes it, Quinn is already preparing for his new mission.

"Homeland" season 5 episode 8 airs Nov. 22 at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
