Game developer IO Interactive has announced a "Hitman: Game of the Year Edition" package that comes with a new four-mission campaign.
"Hitman," one of the best assassination games in the market, has just gotten even better with this new package. It includes "The Complete First Season," "Patient Zero" campaign, new themed suits and escalation contracts.
When IO said "The Complete First Season," they mean absolutely everything they made for that installment — that's seven locations, bonus missions, Challenge Packs, Escalation Contracts, Featured Contracts and over 700 challenges.
In the new "Patient Zero" campaign, Agent 47 must race against the clock to prevent the spread of a potential global pandemic. This campaign will span four different locations — Bangkok, Sapienza, Colorado and Hokkaido — with a completely different look and feel from season 1, thanks to the new time of day and new music composed by Niels Bye Nielsen.
The configured settings of "Patient Zero" will also showcase new gameplay opportunities, mechanics, disguises, characters, challenges, artificial intelligence behavior and head-up display elements.
The GOTY Edition also comes with new outfits in three variations — clown suit and new bat, raven suit and Sieger 300 Ghost, and cowboy suit and the striker — as seen below.
The new themed Escalation Contracts will make the selection of outfits more exciting, as each weapon-suit combination will allow for a unique experience, and of course, new complications based on the updated gameplay mechanics.
"Each Escalation comes with a new starting location unique to that Contract and all of the Escalations are made up of 3-stages," IO Interactive said in the announcement. "Completing each Escalation Contract will unlock a corresponding weapon to be used in all locations across the entire game."
"Hitman: Game of the Year Edition" will be digitally released on Nov. 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for $59.99.
A note to existing players of "The Complete First Season," the GOTY Upgrade, which contains all the new content, is available for just $20. The same goes for anyone who purchased all episodes individually or previously purchased the Intro Pack/Upgrade Pack combination.
Apart from a "GOTY Edition" package, IO Interactive is also releasing a game update on Nov. 7. Further details will be announced soon.
