'Grimm' season 5 spoilers: Juliette is not coming back

After Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) died at the season four finale, Nick (David Giuntoli) would be facing darker days ahead at "Grimm" season five. NBC

For a while now, fans were convinced that Juliette will turn up alive come "Grimm" season 5. However, during the show's conference in the San Diego Comic Con, the last beacon of hope was extinguished and fans of the veterinarian were made to face the truth they were evading the whole time.

When showrunner David Greenwalt was asked if Juliette will return, he responded with a resounding "No" faster than the time it took for Trubel to put an arrow through the chest Nick's one true love. But before that callous response, the point was already emphasized with footage of Juliette's funeral.

Now that's all settled, Greenwalt now wants fans to turn their attention to something else in "Grimm" season 5."We're gonna explain the damn keys!" the executive producer promised as quoted by TV Guide. "We still don't know what they do, but we're gonna explain it," he added.

David Guintoli, whose character Nick lost so much in the past season, will be back in season 5 with "a lot of revenge." With his mother (who showrunner Jim Kouf revealed will be seen in the new season in flashbacks) and his true love gone, Portland's best homicide detective is on the brink of losing his sanity, but thanks to his newfound source of strength, he won't.

"Adalind and I have to co-parent, which is going to be so bizarre," the actor revealed. "He lost his girlfriend, he lost his mom ... and the baby is kind of the reason for him to keep going," he further explained.

In the convention, it was also revealed that Adalind will have to find a job now that she was stripped of her powers. Claire Coffee, who essays the character, teases that "she'll scour Craigslist or something."

On the other hand, Rosalee's "addictions come back to the story line" as her portrayer, Bree Turner teased. "And that causes some major problems for the couple. She really struggles with her past skeletons," she added.

Lastly, "Grimm" season 5 will also see the Loch Ness Monster and gila monsters wreaking havoc in Portland but Sasha Roiz aka Captain Sean Renard also teases that "a lot of the mythology of Season 1, and a lot of the web of politics" will be there too.

"Grimm" season 5 will begin October 30.
