'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 spoilers: new love for Arizona; Richard and Meredith disagree

It has been teased that Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) is getting a new love interest come "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, but it is not her old flame, Leah Murphy (Tessa Ferrer).

Instead, it will be Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk), the toxic educational consultant hired by Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Catherine (Debbie Allen) to help overhaul the residency program of the hospital.

Minnick showed her interest in Arizona when she told the doctor in the previous "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode that her name or face is something she will not forget.

She reveals this when Arizona catches up to her at the elevator, saying that she deserves to be on Minnick's list of residents, which turns out to be her way to remember their names.

"Arizona Robbins, that name attached to that face — no, that's not one you forget," Minnick tells the "rare exotic bird," as Arizona described herself when she made her case.

It looks like Minnick and Arizona will see each other in the hospital a lot in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 as she is poised to replace Richard (James Pickens Jr.) as the new director of the residency program.

However, this is at the expense of Webber, who has already accepted the possibility that he will share the work with Minnick not knowing the educational consultant does not feel the same.

Meanwhile, in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 8, "The Room Where It Happens," Richard will team up with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Owen (Kevin McKidd), and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) for a critical surgery where they clash.

Meredith reminds him he is not in the position to make a call on what to do with the patient, saying "I outrank you." Clearly, Richard is slowly being tossed out the window.

The most hurtful part is that his wife and his former student are the ones responsible for his imminent fallout.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 8, "The Room Where It Happens," airs on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
