There are still people who do not want Alex (Justin Chambers) around. Catherine (Debbie Allen), who is particularly unhappy, will do something about it in this week's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, titled "Roar."

Catherine pays a visit to Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital to urge Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to fire Alex. "If you don't take some steps to replace Dr. Karev, I will," she warned her in the promo.

The preview for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 6 shows Alex looking cheerless and uncaring as Bailey told him off and reminded him that he is "on thin ice."

It looks like his head will not be in the game in this episode and that Alex will get himself in trouble while tending to a patient. This is evident in the promotional images from the upcoming season.

If this is the case, Alex just gave them another reason to kick him, out and Bailey does not appear to be willing to drop the axe on a good friend.

The episode promo teases that Alex and Bailey's relationship will be put to the ultimate test in this installment.

Alex's career is clearly in jeopardy, and if he does not do his best, he might get the boot soon, and it will give Bailey a reason to actually do what Catherine wants her to do.

It is unclear what Alex's fate will be, but Bailey will drop the verdict in episode 6. It is a much bigger pressure that Catherine, who is a co-owner of the hospital, is pressuring her.

Catherine is determined to get him out of Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital and no longer give him a second chance. Bailey's hesitation to fire him shows that Alex deserves one.

Meanwhile, the sixth episode of season 13 will also mark the return of Tessa Ferrer as Leah Murphy, an old flame of Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) who was fired after being deemed unfit to be a surgeon.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 6, "Roar," airs on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
