The next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 involves a baby, a breakup and loyalty in question. Titled "I Choose You," the upcoming installment of the medical drama sees Jo possibly breaking some baby news and Jackson and April calling it quits.

In a preview, Stephanie asks Jo when she found out about this certain something that isn't revealed in the trailer. She then replies, "This morning."

The same trailer shows Jo asking Alex, who is preoccupied with a case involving the life of newborn twins, if he wants kids – a question that caught him off guard.

It is interpreted that Jo could be pregnant and this is the secret she has been keeping from Alex as teased in the synopsis. This very secret could also be revealed in this week's "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly about the possibility of Jo and Alex welcoming the little bundle of joy soon, Camilla Luddington who plays Jo, had this to say:

"They're really good together in the loft, but at this point in the relationship — they've been together how many years? — those big questions about your future start to be asked and Jo has questions about where they're going. We're definitely going to see that."

Meanwhile, Jackson and April's relationship is on the brink of collapsing, with the former determined to end things between them. In the teaser, the latter said sorry to him for being absent when he needed her, but Jackson does not seem to be swayed by her apology, which could potentially end their relationship.

The "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode will also see Maggie reflect on everything she has and hasn't done in her life, believing that one of these decisions led her ex-boyfriend to invite her to his wedding. Richard, meanwhile, will confront Bailey about her loyalty.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode 3 "I Choose You" airs on ABC Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
