"Ghost Recon Wildlands" kicks off a new event, featuring the Predator, today, Dec. 14.

The event comes with the arrival of the downloadable content "Jungle Storm," which launches ranked play, new Elimination and Uplink maps, new weapons, as well as other updates for both PvP and PvE modes.

The DLC also comes with new cosmetics, a class based on the "Predator" film, and a limited-time event called "The Hunt," where players can do an Arnold Schwarzenegger against the Predator.

The thrilling trailer below shows an action-packed hunt in the jungle. And though it does not indicate what they are looking for, the scene is reminiscent of the setting of the classic franchise.

The iconic Predator was first introduced in 1987, on the titular film from director John McTiernan.

It follows Dutch (Schwarzenegger), a seasoned soldier hired by the U.S. government to rescue a group of politicians in Guatemala. With his small team -- weapons expert Blain (Jesse Ventura) and CIA agent George (Carl Weathers) -- he journeys to Central America to fulfill his mission. But upon arriving in the jungle, they are welcomed by a string of brutally murdered bodies. Soon they find out that before they could rescue anyone, they must first survive the superhuman creature that could camouflage against any surrounding, and is hunting them to death.

The event was launched to celebrate the classic film's 30th anniversary. With the "Ghost Recon Wildlands" event titled "The Hunt," it is not clear yet who will be hunted -- the players or the Predator?

One thing is for sure, though, every player's goal would be to survive.

"The Hunt" is playable in single-player or online co-op. Considering it is described as the "most difficult fight of all," it might be best to work with a team in the multiplayer version.

The "Jungle Storm" update will arrive for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The limited "The Hunt" event will be available until early January.
