'Game of Thrones' season 5 spoilers: Tyrion and Daenerys on same team in upcoming episodes?

Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) disguises himself in the new teaser of HBO's Game of Thrones Season 5 HBO

Fans of "Game of Thrones" are itching to see the newest season of the HBO original. This makes its April release a bit backbreaking to wait for. Fortunately, leaks and spoilers do come in regularly. For one, Imgur has unveiled a number of leaked images from season 5 of the fantasy drama television series and they all bear big revelations about an unlikely duo.

One of the snaps shows Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen together in the middle of an all-out carnage that happens under the latter's regime. According to The Inquisitr, the brother of Cersei and Jamie Lannister could end up teaming up with the Mother of Dragons, which should come as a bolt from the blue for many. As for the massacre seen in the leaked photo, it only indicates that the dragons are now at large and ready to kill.

Lastly, and quite possibly, the biggest detail that could be drawn from the leaked images says more on the show's changes. While it is heavily believed that "Game of Thrones" will speed ahead of "A Song of Ice and Fire," George R.R. Martin's series from which the series is based, none of that has been corroborated until now (or so it seems). While in the novels, Tyrion is left rambling through meandering trails far away from where Daenerys' court is, the series adaptation will go to the fore and take the once-Hand of the King to the Queen of Mereen's side.

Elsewhere, Jorah Mormont's not-so-welcome return to Mereen is also hinted as one photo shows the knight in the fighting pits.

In other "Game of Thrones" news, Kit Harington, who plays the role of Jon Snow in the series, has dropped some details about the events that will take place upon the show's return.

"It's lavish this year," Harington dished during the SAG Awards as quoted by IB Times. "They're throwing money at it, and they have to because we're on Season 5 and coming towards the real peak of the story. There's some huge action sequences, battle scenes that will leave the audiences wanting more."

"Game of Thrones" will be back with its season 5 on April 12.
