Rumor has it that Samsung will be announcing two new tablets on July 20. Dutch publication GSM Help Desk reports that these products will be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Tab S2 9.7, which are reportedly the newest iterations of the South Korean tech giant's Tab series.

Succeeding the Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 that were released last year, the pair of new tablets are represented by rumor mills as top-of-the-line products, with high-end specs and a tasteful design.

Just recently, a set of alleged press renders for the devices hit the web, thanks to Tablet Monkeys. The images reveal that the new Samsung offerings will have the same wide aspect ratio as that of Apple's iPads.

The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is expected to have an 8-inch Super AMOLED display that renders a sharp 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution. The Tab S2 9.7 will be a tad bigger, with the same resolution distributed across its 9.7-inch touchscreen. These displays will have 4:3 aspect ratios.

Both tablets will also be fitted out with a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, which will be paired with 3 GB RAM and a roomy 32 GB storage space. They are reportedly getting 8-megapixel rear-facing cameras as well.

The most impressive aspect that came from rumor mills about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Tab S2 9.7 is that they will be ultra-slim, with their bodies no thicker than 6 mm. They should also be the lightest in their group with the former not going over 0.6 lbs. and the latter as light as 0.9 lbs.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 duos are expected to see the light of day as early as tomorrow. Should the rumor prove true, Samsung will reveal the most powerful and most sophisticated editions of their Tab lineup yet.
