Fans outside Japan have been promised a legendary warfare between Titans and Marvel heroes and this has finally been realized. The manga crossover of the Avengers and the Titans from the hit anime series "Attack on Titan" is finally setting the world alight. The greater news here though is that select lovers of the franchises can get it free from Marvel during this year's Free Comic Book Day.

In a "Secret Wars" presentation, the company broke the news about the rollout of the story titled "Attack on Avengers" where the "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the "Avengers" universes ram into the Titans' cosmos. The comic was originally published in Japan by Brutus Magazine days after it was announced back in November last year. It is only this time that it has been brought outside the country.

According to Comic Book Resources, the crossover story penned by "Attack on Titan" creator Hajime Isayama and illustrated by Gerardo Sandoval takes on a "what if-style story" and shows who would win in a brawl between favorites like Captain America, Iron Man and other superheroes and a 46-foot Female Titan right on the highways of the Big Apple. Game N' Guide expects the affray to be a full-blown bloodbath but quickly vows its faith on the Avengers who are not new with battling against bigger creatures.

Free Comic Book Day is celebrated annually every first Saturday of May. This year, it falls on May 2 so frenzied fans of the comic books should gear up for this exciting event. One cannot afford to forgo getting a free copy of the inimitable chronicle.

Another crossover also happens in the game. This time, Titans are infused in "Maple Story," an online game by Nexon. As explained by Anime News Network, players (level 30 and above) of the title's English version can enter the "Attack on Titan" mission, which also requires special coins. The content features training with Erin or Mikasa as well as the use of an omni-directional mobility gear. Fans can battle as Eren, Levi, Armin, and Mikasa and will have to take on a Colossal Titan that awaits in Wall Rose to destroy them.

"Attack on Titan" fans can also look forward to the second season of the anime series, which is scheduled to premiere in 2016.
