Former 'Bachelor' Sean Lowe Admits He's 'Nervous' About America's Future, Prays For Revival

Former "The Bachelor" star  Sean Lowe is extremely worried about what is going to happen during the upcoming U.S. presidential election, and he is uncertain how America will fare when the next president assumes office.

"No matter what side of the aisle you lean towards, I think we can all agree these are scary times. Maybe it's the dad in me but I'm nervous about the future of our country," he wrote on his blog. "I'm scared that we're on a downward trajectory and things may only get worse. Maybe I'm being irrational. Or maybe I recognize that every dynastic global power eventually meets its demise."

But whoever wins — either Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump or his opponent Democratic bet Hillary Clinton — Lowe said he does not plan to place his hopes and salvation in their hands. He knows for a fact that evil exists and wants to inflict suffering on the innocent. Lowe knows the only One who can stop evil is God.

He said his favourite Bible verse is James 4:14, which reads, "How do you know what will happen tomorrow? For your life is like the morning fog — it's here a little while, then it's gone."

"I love this verse because it puts my life here on Earth in perspective," he said. "Even if I'm lucky enough to live a hundred years, it's still just a blink of an eye compared to eternity. It reminds me that I need to focus on what's most important — following Jesus and sharing His love and grace with those who don't know Him."

Lowe said the world can be ugly, life can be hard, and heartbreaks will definitely happen. But the good news is that it won't last forever. James 4:14 reminds Lowe of that fact, and he finds strength knowing that Jesus will always be with him.

"With all that said, I'm praying for a revival to sweep the country. I think we can come together and correct our country's course, but I believe we're going to have to draw closer to our creator for that to happen," he said. "So I'm encouraging you all to fight the good fight and keep your eyes on the greater prize."
