It has been announced that the Japanese role-playing game "Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age" by video game developer Square Enix will be arriving to the PC officially for the first time in February. The game is a remastered and updated version of "Final Fantasy 12," which was first released for the PlayStation 2 way back in 2006.

"Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age" was released initially for the PlayStation 4 back in 2016 as a remastered version of the original game, complete with updated graphics for the modern consoles. However, the upcoming PC version pushes the hardware envelope further, boasting 60 frames per second with up to 21:9 screen ratio option.

These graphics options are for those with optimized and advanced gaming hardware specifications that only the PC can accommodate, which is apt since the "Final Fantasy" saga has always emphasized visual impact and beauty in their video games throughout the years. In the title screen, players will be given the option to max out Gil, which is the game's currency, as well as license points.

Another interesting new feature in terms of gameplay choices are the New Game Plus and a New Game Minus option, which are primarily intended for those who have already beaten the game in the past. New Game Plus will allow players to explore the world of "Final Fantasy 12" without having to go through the main storyline and quests, which are quite extensive and lengthy, and simply roam around unrestrictedly.

New Game Minus provides more of a challenge for hardcore Japanese role-playing game fans, since it will only grant players with a set level of stats, without any opportunity of leveling up through experience points.

"Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age" will be available for the PC on Feb. 1, next month. The physical copy of the game will be exclusively available on the Square Enix Store, priced at $149.
