The football video game by Electronic Arts, "Fifa 18" had been launched on Sept. 29. Being the most popular football game in the market of today, it should not surprise anyone that millions of people were able to snag a copy of their own right away. In fact, it has been reported to have reached big numbers in concurrent users during its opening weekend, as millions of players committed their weekend to play the latest Fifa title.

The video game's developers, Electronic Arts, published on their official Twitter account a short clip featuring the star of football club Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, with the caption that stated "That's a lot of people playing Fifa." This is because the number of concurrent players peaked at 1.6 million in its first weekend after the release. This information, of course, was obtained through online players, which means that some people could have opted to play offline.

In a report by Gamespot, Electronic Arts has yet to release more information regarding the number of concurrent players, as well as a comparison between the peak numbers of concurrent users for the previous Fifa titles. Despite the lack of information, the number achieved by the game on its opening weekend is definitely a respectable one and ensures that the sales for the game has reached tremendous heights.

However, not everything went smoothly upon the release of the game. According to the Daily Mail, players were plagued by some bugs that hampered them from fully enjoying the game. The game has been reported to crash when in-game players switch teams in Career Mode, which is an avenue of the title that players usually invest a lot of time into. This left some "Fifa 18" fans disappointed.

In another report by Segment Next, Nintendo Switch users had its own unique bugs wherein in-game players would sometimes appear to be faceless. Fortunately, Electronic Arts has attempted to resolve these issues by immediately providing patches.
