Numerous video game reviewers have been fortunate enough to try out the highly anticipated open-world first-person shooter game by Ubisoft, "Far Cry 5" -- and have been given the go-ahead signal by the developers to release some gameplay footage from their play-throughs. Just as fans and video game players expected, the upcoming title is looking to deliver when it comes to the numerous in-game activities, as well as realistic graphics.
In a report by Polygon, "Far Cry 5" is rife with things players will stumble upon as they explore the vast world of fictional Hope County, Montana -- which is made to look like one of the mountainous forests in the United States. Players are bound to stumble upon interesting and curiosity arousing instances, even when they are on their way to completing one of the main story missions. This was apparently one of the features that Ubisoft intended.
The shooting mechanics of "Far Cry 5" also seem to be more advanced, as well as refined compared to its predecessors. When attempting to take over enemy bases, players will have a variety of ways to scout, and eventually infiltrate strongholds and turn it over to the resistance. According to Gamespot, it may prove to be helpful for players if they can utilize both stealth, as well as run-and-gun tactics depending on how each situation goes down.
The enemy artificial intelligence (AI) is also designed to fight back harder with every in-game achievement that players complete. Fortunately, it is possible to hire specialized AI to fight alongside with was is called "The Resistance." PC Gamer states that these companions can potentially be useful in making missions easier, as players will be able to command them to do a variety of things that are dependent on their given skills.
Based on the released footages alone, the developers at Ubisoft have shown that they are able to create an even more organic world that feels alive and rife with activities and random encounters.
"Far Cry 5" is scheduled to be released on March 27, 2018.
