"Fallout 4" is in the middle of a big hype clearly since it is still off the radar. Bethesda's radio silence also does not help. But that does not stop rumor mills from chomping and churning to get details about the title many hope to see.
According to Ecumenical News, the sequel to the 2008 action role-playing open world video game "Fallout 3" will be released in the first quarter of the year. The site also mentioned a tweet from Kotaku news editor Jason Schreier, assuring a Twitter user asking about "Fallout 4" that Bethesda should make an announcement about the title by February or March. If the game studio really is working on the much awaited game, it should be able to land on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Gameranx also has a take on "Fallout 4" launching this year. A YouTube user named Matty Schroeder (MrMattyPlays) brought about an interview of Bethesda production director Ashley Cheng where she stated that the game developer typically uses up three to four years to build games. As examples, she mentioned "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" which went into production from 1998 to 2002, "The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion" from 2002 to 2006, "Fallout 3" from 2006 to 2008, then there's "The Elder Scrolls Skyrim" which was in production from 2008 to 2011.
"Fallout 3," although looking like the oddest one in the bunch, is the clue the YouTuber used. Schroeder said that Bethesda made it an exception because the studio was already inured to the game engine. And he went on to say that "Fallout 4," assuming that production for it started after "The Elder Scrolls Skyrim," should be announced anytime soon.
Upon its unveiling, media outlets hope to see that the battles and missions of the new game will all be happening in Boston, where the game can perfectly bind its plot to the city's history. Master Herald added that the locale is a dwelling for various robot researches in its American and modern setting. With Boston as the hub, gamers could use a bit more access and exploration to the place, as well as enhancements on V.A.T.S. systems.
