Eva Longoria pregnancy news: Actress to have a baby boy

Mexican-American actress and restaurateur Eva Longoria is reportedly expecting her first child with her husband, Jose Antonio Baston. The news came as a surprise to both Longoria and her husband and was forced to push back her current projects to focus solely on caring for herself and her child. As of now, Longoria has not yet officially announced her pregnancy to the public.

Longoria, who is now 42 years old, had to postpone her commitments and preparations for her film shooting due to the news of her pregnancy. The Blast reports that Longoria and her husband are now four months along in the pregnancy, and that the gender of the baby has been revealed to be a boy. Baston already has three children from his previous marriage, which makes his child with Longoria his fourth.

Despite Longoria's pregnancy being totally unexpected, the couple are still incredibly happy about the upcoming baby, and have put the necessary hold on their careers to solely focus on their family. Longoria posted on her Instagram page a picture of herself during a photo shoot for the January issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. She captioned the picture with "Pure Happiness."

The social media account for the esteemed publication congratulated Longoria for "expecting her first child." People reports that Longoria and her husband have been married since May of 2016. Before the news of her pregnancy broke out, Longoria admitted that she was quite uncertain if she could still bear children, since she is already over 40 years of age. Longoria has already formed a significant bond with Baston's children from his previous marriage.

Longoria may be 42 years old, but she seems to be busy with her career as an actress. In fact, she opened up to Entertainment Tonight about a possible revival for the popular television show "Desperate Housewives." Longoria stated that she misses being Gaby. "I miss being on set. I miss everything about it." Perhaps negotiations may take place after she has given birth to her baby boy.
