With "Empire" season 4 on hiatus to give way to the World Series, fans took to Twitter to express their dismay.

The regular Wednesday programming of the hit drama series was disrupted on Oct. 25 as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros played Game 2 of the World Series.

In a Twitter post, "Empire" notified its fans that the drama would be on break until the best-of-seven series was over.

Many fans who were piqued by the episode 4 cliffhanger could not help but be disappointed with the delay.

The previous episode, titled "Bleeding War," finished with an intimate moment between Nurse Claudia (Demi Moore) and Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) which almost ended up with a kiss. This came after Claudia betrayed Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), who earlier proposed to bring her husband to the lion statue in Philadelphia, hoping it would help him recover his memories.

Claudia stopped her, saying it was not the right time yet. But then she brought Lucious there herself, hence, the intimate scene.

In episode 5, "The Fool," Lucious' memory loss will pose problems for Empire. To ease the minds of the company's board members and to prove that the father of the Lyon household is in excellent shape, Cookie will invite the press to watch him produce the 20 for 20 album.

Eddie Barker (guest star Forest Whitaker) will help Lucious get back to the studio to make new music. Meanwhile, Detective Pamela Rose (guest star Teyonah Parris) will talk to Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) about a very juicy information regarding last season's car explosion.

As for Claudia and Lucious, it looks like they're about to make another breakthrough.

When will the series return? It's still not sure. The Astros are currently leading the series, 2–1, after winning Game 3 on Friday. A lot can still happen in the next few games.

If it so happens that the baseball battle makes it to Game 7, which is slated for Nov. 1, fans will have to wait another week to watch the drama. So that's either Nov. 1 or Nov. 8, 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
