Cast member Ellen Page poses at the premiere of "The East" at the Arclight theatre in Hollywood, California May 28, 2013. The movie opens in the U.S. on May 31.

Canadian actress, Ellen Page, is one of the high-profile celebrities who have come forward accusing American director, Brett Ratner, of sexual harassment as well as assault in the workplace. To make matters worse, Page even has a witness in Anna Paquin, who expressed her support on her social media page. Additionally, Page also detailed other negative incidents that happened to her in the past.

In a report by CBC, Page stated the disturbing comments that were made by Ratner towards her during the filming of "X-Men: The Last Stand," which was released in May of 2006. Ratner told another woman who was present during the shoot to commit acts that were sexual in nature towards Page so that she "realizes that she's gay." These remarks were very brash and considered very inappropriate and unprofessional, especially from a man of Ratner's stature.

At the time that the lewd comments were made by Ratner, Page was only 18 years old. According to Indie Wire, Page stated that in that time frame, she was not sure about her sexual orientation yet, and Ratner's comments caused Page to be very angry and resentful especially since she was still coming to terms with her sexuality. Page felt that Ratner's comments urged her to forcibly come out as gay, which in 2006 meant something else compared to now.

Page stated that "I was a young adult who had not yet come out to myself. I knew I was gay, but did not know, so to speak. I felt violated when this happened." According to Global News, Anna Paquin reached out to Page after the allegations against Ratner were made public. Paquin stated that she was there when the comments were uttered by Ratner, and even expressed that she supported Page's cause.

Sadly, Page's story with Ratner is just one story as there were other instances wherein she felt violated in Hollywood. According to Vice, Page also mentioned that she experienced inappropriate sexual advances from another director who even groped her leg under a table when she was only 16 years old.
