'Elder Scrolls 6' rumors: Bethesda to do away with dragons as villains?

Bethesda's radio silence about "Elder Scrolls 6," still, unfortunately, amounts the highly-anticipated and ever-demanded installment into something no more than a myth. As of now, the game studio has neither quashed nor confirmed reports about the game's existence, let alone say something about a new rumor that suggests a major change in the system.

Just recently, new speculations hinting that dragons, which served as the ultimate adversaries of players in "Elder Scrolls" video games, will be taking a back seat to let a new type of villain step up.

"Elder Scrolls 6" may be the first to ditch the monstrous fire-breathers for new baddies to take over the land. Unfortunately, there is no information as to what sort of creature will Bethesda have players battle should they make a dragon-less "Elder Scrolls" game.

There are some reports detailing that unicorns will be doing all the bad work in the game although there are qualms as to how Bethesda will tell the tale of the powerful dragons' defeat in the hands of the horned creatures.

Moreover, the persistent reports about the game's setting being Argonia are being outnumbered by speculations that "Elder Scrolls 6" will be home to world gamers have never seen in the series.

Bethesda is said to complement this drastic change by completely overhauling the combat system, which, comparing to new games on the field, is already outmoded and out-of-date.

Nevertheless, it is too early to debate about the villains or mechanics gracing "Elder Scrolls 6" as the game itself is no more than a product wishful thinking for now. Bethesda has not said a word about it and it looks like it will keep its lips tight for awhile, until fans forget about it.

This is because Bethesda may not be looking into making "Elder Scrolls 6" or it may be venturing to make a game from another of its franchise (Fallout 4 comes to mind) or an entirely new offering.

Whatever Bethesda has up its sleeves, fans could only hope "Elder Scrolls 6" is one of them.
