Floyd Mayweather Sr., is not exactly a person short for words, most especially when it comes to Manny Pacquiao.
The elder Mayweather has been known to belittle the Filipino boxer, once claiming that Pacquiao was using PEDS (Performance Enhancing Drugs) that allowed him to churn out impressive performance before.
That angle will however be put to rest with both Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr. agreeing to a strict random testing for their upcoming meeting on May 2. Pacquiao went to the extent of placing a fine of $5 million if either fails the drug testing and eventually cancel the fight.
In what he believes will be an easy fight for his boy, Mayweather Sr. believes that Pacquiao will be punished real bad. However, he did play it safe as far as a knockout win is concerned, saying that his son (Mayweather Jr.) may or may not knock out the Filipino boxer in the highly anticipated and historic bout.
Aside from Floyd Sr., there were others who also got in their own potshots as well.
The same holds true for Roger Mayweather, Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s uncle, who has taken shots at Pacquiao in the past as well.
Roger Mayweather showed more confidence, believing tht Pacquiao would be knocked out by the sixth round in an interview with Chris Robinson of hustleboss.com.
On Pacquiao's end, the Filipino's long-time trainer Freddie Roach belittled Mayweather and told him to enjoy being on the A-side while he can.
Roach has been known to fire shots at Pacquiao's opponents and Mayweather is certainly no exception.
The trash-talks are expected to escalate heading into May before both fighters finally square off.
On the part of Manny Pacquiao, he remains unfazed and relishes the underdog tag. Pacquiao shrugged off the acclaimed advantage, ending it by saying that he has God by his side.
As for Mayweather, he believes he has the upper hand owing to his defensive skills and versatility which he believes are are far more superior than that of Pacquiao.
