Another esteemed personality in Hollywood has been accused of sexual misconduct. Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman has already been accused by multiple women of being a sexual predator, and it seems that more have come forward recently. This puts Hoffman in a very difficult situation -- being that there are now six alleged women who have been victimized by the legendary actor.
In an exclusive report by Variety, a woman named Cori Thomas claims to have been assaulted by Hoffman back in 1980. Thomas turns out to be one of the friends of Hoffman's daughter, and was reportedly only 16 years old at the time she was allegedly molested by Hoffman. Thomas claims that Hoffman requested for her to massage his feet, and he then eventually was saying inappropriate remarks toward Thomas that are sexual in nature.
According to the same report, the incident with Thomas took place at Hoffman's hotel room, while Thomas was waiting for her parents to pick her up. She stated that Hoffman took a shower, and eventually undid his towel when he emerged from the bathroom. Thomas was then stunned, and was not able to react accordingly.
However, it turns out that Thomas' experience is rather tame compared to the others'. Another woman who has accused Hoffman is Melissa Kester, who was a former work associate of Hoffman's when he was filming for the 1987 film "Ishtar." Kester claims that when she was assisting Hoffman for audio work, he would slip his hand inside her bottoms -- eventually assaulting her.
Another woman from the set of "Ishtar," who has decided to remain anonymous, also stated that she was inappropriately approchaed by Hoffman behind a station wagon on set -- pressuring her to agree to his sexual advances. These allegations could possibly have been dismissed as hearsay, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, other people have corroborated the stories of the accusers.
If this is true, then it can be surmised that these people have kept Hoffman's indiscretions a secret for many years.
