Sadie Robertson, the teen daughter of Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson, said that she is praying for Miley Cyrus, who has recently been making headlines for her unconventional antics.
The 16-year-old recently told Fox News, "My family has been praying for (Miley Cyrus) and her family. We all feel very bad for her because we know how entertainment can get wrapped up in your head..We try to stay strong as a family and pray that their family comes together."
She continued, "I would never twerk in public. It is not modest to me but for the girls out there that do, it's their decision."
Her dad Willie told Fox News about the difficulty about growing up in the spotlight. "It's tough. You know, the whole world is different now, everyone knows who you are. It wasn't the way we were raised. We'll put it in the Lord's hands so we'll see what happens."
Sadie made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week on September 9. The high school sophomore walked the runway for the Evening By Sherri Hill Spring 2014 fashion show at the Trump Tower. See photos here.
The teen wore a beautiful black and white polka-dot prom dress with a sparkly corset and sheer neckline. She modeled for a line of prom dresses created in partnership with Sherri Hill called Sadie Robertson Live Original.
Her mom Kori told Us Weekly: "We're so proud and so happy about the partnership with Sherri Hill. She's been awesome. And they're a family business like we are, so we feel really great."
The teen said she made sure that the dresses were modest enough to be approved by her father. "Me and my mother and my grandma went to Sherri Hill's place and we all picked out 'daddy approved length. She also added a couple inches to some that we loved but weren't modest." The Robertson family, featured on the hit reality show Duck Dynasty, runs a successful duck-call manufacturing business called Duck Commander. Although they run a tight family business, Willie, who has four children, says Sadie can pursue her own goals and dreams.
"Sadie can do whatever she wants to do. She's got a bunch of opportunities right now with the business but we'll see. I don't want to be them in a slot. I just want them to do whatever they want."
The Robertson family proudly proclaims the Christian faith. Members of the cast have made numerous appearances at Christian events and the only 'beardless' cast member Alan Robertson is a preacher.
Sadie's Twitter account reads: "The names Sadie Carroway Robertson! I'm not ashamed of the one who saved my soul!! Love my family❤ oh yeah and on this show called duck dynasty."
