Duck Dynasty Christmas special 2013: Watch Robertson family perform live nativity, shop for gifts and more [A&E start time]

The infamous Robertson family will be returning to the small screen this week with a Duck Dynasty Christmas special.

A&E will be airing the second Duck Dynasty Christmas special on Dec. 11 at 10p.m ET.

The special episode will give viewers an insight on how America's favorite family will be spending their Christmas this year. Previews of the special show the successful family around a Christmas tree, handing out presents, joining a nativity scene, and shopping for gifts and food.

The family's favorite holiday recipes will be shown, including duck and banana pudding.

According to A&E's episode guide, "The Robertsons perform a live nativity for their Church for Christmas, so the wives organize rehearsals to ensure that they pull off a great event. However, rehearsals get off to a bumpy start as the guys can't stop sharing their opinions. In between rehearsals, Willie and Jase struggle to get their wives the perfect Christmas gifts and they unenthusiastically take Jep's advice."

Last year's Christmas special titled "Redneck Christmas" featured the Robertson clan gathering at Phil and Miss Kay's house to celebrate the holidays.

The family also released a Christmas album this year called "Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas."

Duck Dynasty continues to rule cable and remains A&E's most popular show amongst viewers.

The Robertson family, who have made their wealth through a duck-call manufacturing business, are known to be outspoken about their Christian faith, with members of the famous clan frequently receiving invitations to speak at churches and events.

This season's newest cast member is Pastor Alan Robertson, the eldest son of Phil Robertson. He has been a preacher and pastor at Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, Louisiana for 22 years.

This year, Pastor Alan Robertson joined the show so that he can help share the word of God to more people.

"What I do for our church - you see, it's a pretty good-sized church - impacts a lot of people, but because of my association with the show, I'll get to minister to a lot more people," Alan told New York Post. "Any person that's an evangelist, that's what you want to do, so I had to give this up for something possibly bigger."
