Drake and The Weeknd news: Bella Hadid cause of rift between two artists?

American super model, Bella Hadid, could be in the middle of some bubbling tension between her alleged boyfriend, Drake, and her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd. This news could be very unsurprising, especially since Drake and The Weeknd have known each other for a quite a while since they both come from Toronto, Canada, and are directly involved in the business of making music.

In a report by Teen Vogue, the people who have felt the immense buildup of tension between The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, and Drake are those who are friends of the two Canada-bred artists. Both of them have a significant number of mutual friends, and some have reported that "they both hang in the same Toronto crew and now they're having to pick sides." The tension has made it uncomfortable for friends of both musicians.

Given the alleged beef that now exists between the two pop artists, their mutual friends are faced with a conundrum of whom to show their loyalties. It has even gotten to a point wherein they would opt not to go to Tesfaye's recent shows just to avoid getting on the artists' crosshairs.

According to the Daily Mail, Tesfaye is suspected to be upset with Drake since he had engaged with Hadid after they had broken up, which is something that is frowned upon among friends. Despite having a relationship with Selena Gomez, Tesfaye seems to still harbor some resentment against Drake.

As reported by IOL, it would appear that Hadid's personal preference in relationships are music icons. Drake and Hadid may be reportedly dating but it is notable to mention that in Drake's recent birthday bash in Los Angeles, neither Tesfaye nor Hadid had cleared their schedules to attend the very high-profile event.

If the feud between Drake and Tesfaye were a competition, Drake is definitely in the lead, especially since he and Hadid have been dating for months. Tesfaye, Drake, and Hadid have yet to comment on the reports.
