"Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse" has yet to be shipped but Bandai Namco seems to be moving forward nevertheless with another game, "Dragon Ball Z: Super Extreme Butouden." The next installment is something that will be played for the Nintendo 3DS which will reportedly carry a character lineup of more than 100.

An ad that was translated from the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine by Crunchyroll broke the ice for the upcoming game. The game is expected to feature one-on-one and group battles where each fighter is expected to be equipped with a special kind of move.

However despite the huge character lineup, some may be there for support purposes only. This means that certain characters may not really be playable for people who want to check out what lesser known characters can do.

But if there are two characters to watch out for, that would be Bulma and Chichi. The two are support characters that carry powers that include using capsules to attack (Bulma) and another leashing incredible anger (Chichi). Support characters can be called upon with the simple tap of the Nintendo 3DS touch screen.

The game will be more of a standard 2D which should somehow be similar to the early days when the game was played on the Super Nintendo and/or the PlayStation game consoles.

The game is reportedly set for a summer release in Japan. For now, there is no word on whether the "Dragon Ball Z Super Extreme Butouden" would be made available in North America.

But before that, all eyes are on the "Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse." That version is expected to be released next week which will feature a hub world, customizable characters and open maps for 3D combat.
